the difference of the restaurants traditional, a Wistub is a guest house with
a character of a brasserie-bistro. The origine goes up in the end of the 19
th century. After the defeat of France vis-a -vis in Prussia, our are was attached
to the winner. At that time the Alsaciens wine growers fonnded and led the "
Stub ones with wine" The reason was to mitgate the rise to power of German
bar.
Our "Wistub du Sommelier" was created
in 1985 by J-M Stoeckel, who himself is a one of the better wine weiter of France.
The Idea was to make discover with general public the richness and diversity
of alsacian wines
( Creaming, late grape harvest, SGN.)
We, Antje and Patrick, fell in love in March 2000
with the charming house and it's surronndings.
We look forward to share with you this special atmosphere during you visit at
